What is JSP?

Java Server Page is a server-side technology that is used in the creation of web applications and dynamic web content. Java codes are inserted into the HTML tags by implementing JSP tags. JSP is a higher version of Servlet Technology that is used to produce platform-independent and dynamic web pages.

JSP container converts JSP pages into servlets before dealing out with the request of the client. Java Server Pages are more simple and easier to maintain without any redeployment or recompilation. JSP has access to the entire Java API and employs action and custom tags. All the coding of JSP is server and browser independent.
